The color pink doesn’t suit me, but to be part of the Pink Revolution is something I will be proud of for the rest of my life. I never blamed those who chose Marcos and despise Robredo, the fight was never against them but FOR them. The fight was always against disinformation and untruth, the whole network of false facts in the form of glossy videos that preyed on the susceptible, exploiting the years and years of an educational system that’s tragically weak. Had Robredo won, I would have been her critic and hold her up to what she has promised, and I will be exactly the same under a Marcos presidency, because I’m not a fanatic. The gloating and mockery hurled at the Kakampinks at this point is inconsequential. But actual history has been revised and facts no longer hold authority. That is what disturbs me the most.
While I am glad I didn’t lose any friends or family in the past six months or so, I cannot help but grieve for the truth that died on May 9, 2022. Don’t tell me to move on nalang haha. To be be good citizens nalang haha. I feel bad today, are you going to mock that too? Don’t think for a second that I feel bad because Kakampinks lost, when lies triumph over truth, we all lost.
But as always, no one needs to tell me to just be a good citizen, that’s a given. And as always, I will acknowledge this next administration’s achievements should there be any, and strongly call out any form of criminality should it commit some in the next six years.
