2. Around here, it is probably not your talent that will bring you recognition. It is friends. Connections. And all that bullshit.
3. So what happens to a genius who's full of liberating ideas but is extremely shy and short of social skills (like most great artist)? Does he weep in the corner until he kills himself? This is a sickening (literally) wolf-pit full of competitive ravening wolves. But does it have to be?
4. Why should a truly remarkable work struggle to find an audience while the mediocre gains recognition? Why should a composer become desperate in courting conductors, artistic directors, producers, and all those so called "big-shots"?
5. The work should speak for itself. Nothing more.
